Royal Mountain Ski Area is fast becoming one of the most popular
family ski areas in New York State.
Conveniently located in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains,
Royal is less than one hour from Albany and Utica. Royal Mountains friendly
staff and family atmosphere will make you feel right at home.
Also the rental shop purchases new equipment every year, and a
great team of ski and snowboard instructors for any level skier or rider will
get you setup and ready for a enjoyable time here at Royal Mountain.
Snow making & Grooming have been the Hallmark of Royal Mountain.
Over the past 5 years Royal Mountain has invested over $600,000.00 in up-grading its snow making and
grooming capabilities. Included in those upgrades is doubling the pumping capacity to over 1200 Gallons of
water per minute by adding a new pump.
Royal Mountain has purchased more snow guns every year, this year we have 18 guns blowing snow 24-7
when temperatures permit. To ensure long skiing seasons, Royal Mountain has snow making capabilities on
over 90% of its terrain.
Royal Mountain is always improving and we've added a new groomer to the fleet and to operate it, we have
one of the best Snow Groomers in the Northeast, Corduroy Joe!
